We want as many people as possible to have access to Notion and complete home awareness. Unfortunately there are some requirements to be able to take advantage of everything that Notion has to offer.
What do I need from Notion?
In order to effectively communicate with our servers, your Notion system requires at least one sensor and one bridge, as well as the Notion app on your smart phone. You will not be able to purchase only Notion sensors and set them up with a different smart hub or app.
What Kind Of Smart Phone Do I Need?
The Notion app runs on both iOS and Android devices that meet the following specs:
iPhone - running iOS 11.4 or newer
Android - running version 6.0 or newer
Do I Need A WiFi Network? What Kind?
At this time the Notion bridge requires a WiFi network to communicate with our servers. Most modern WiFi routers are supported as long as they are backwards compatible with a few older standards. The Wi-Fi radio in the Notion Bridge works with 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g and n. It does not support 802.11ac or 5GHz networks.
The Notion Bridge requires an available AC power outlet (100 - 240VAC).
