If you weren't already aware, Notion is capable of monitoring many different functions around your home, all with one versatile, do-it-all sensor. When it comes to fires, you should already have smoke alarms in your home, but how are you supposed to know the alarms are going off if you're away at work or on vacation?
Setting up your Notion sensors to detect smoke alarms is easy and hassle-free. They simply need to be installed next to your existing smoke alarm (within 12 inches) on the same wall. The number of sensors you install with the smoke alarm task is up to you, but we generally suggest at least one sensor per floor of your house. Once installed, the sensors will offer security and peace of mind for you and your family.
Of course the beauty of using Notion sensors to alert you of smoke alarms is that you don't need a different sensor to do it. The same sensor you're putting on your door for home security is the same as the one you're using for the smoke alarm. This flexibility allows you to adjust your Notion systems as a result of any changes to your home.
